Filmmaker Accelerator
The Filmmaker Accelerator is a visionary initiative jointly launched by OPPO and Discovery Channel, under the Culture in a Shot initiative, to empower a new generation of global creators.
By dismantling the barriers to professional filmmaking, this program provides the technology and mentorship needed for aspiring creators to document and share their unique cultural stories, celebrating culture diversity. We aim to transform raw creative passion into impactful narratives that celebrate local identities on a global stage, and foster meaningful cross-cultural connection.

Filippo Forner
I’m Filippo Forner, an outdoor filmmaker based in the Italian Dolomites.Raised in the mountains, I’ve always felt at home in nature. Skiing led me to filmmaking, and filmmaking became my way of telling stories.Now I travel to document adventures, landscapes, and the people behind them, creating films inspired by the outdoors.
They say every Italian is born with a football heartbeat. A cracked concrete street, a faded goalpost, a pair of worn-out boots — this is where a boy's world begins. Football isn't his dream.
